Roman Bath Conservation Day 18th November 2012
Volunteers from the Bohemia Walled Garden and Friends of Summerfields worked with Hastings Rangers on Sunday 18th November to tidy up the area around the Grade II listed Roman Bath. A decade of silt and debris including a barrow full of beer bottles was removed from the bath after pumping water out. Steps beside the bath have been cleared of accumulated soil and without smelly silt maybe the newts will return to the water. The following day after about 20 hours, the constantly flowing spring had refilled the bath .
