- Open events to include workshops on traditional skills (Weaving and Spinning) Heritage Apple day and other history, natural heritage and horticulture talks.

The current situation concerning the restoration of the fallen wall is on the BWGA website - November 2017 is described below.
Build and installations
Due to some structural issues with the south wall, the building schedule has been postponed from 2017, into 2018. BWGA has been working with HBC to make sure a secure and attractive rebuild is undertaken.
Building of the path through the wood to the garden entrance will be made after the wall is completed.

Excavations prior to the wall rebuild to check on the foundations
The photos below taken in March 2017 reveal the excavations made in conjunction with Hastings Borough Council that determine the depth of the sandstone foundations on the south east corner of the garden where the fallen sandstone & brick walls are to be rebuilt. The excavation confirmed the depth of the original foundations and their current condition that is good.
Work starts on the replacement fallen garden wall April 2018
After several years of planning work on rebuilding the fallen garden wall is due to start on Monday 14th April 2018. The photographs below show the area set aside to ensure the safety of those on foot as vehicles enter the area to bring in in materials.
The area for the wall rebuild has been cleared and a section secured as a work site with the delivery of Swanage Kingston Handmade bricks by Ibstock. A sign "Funding raised by the National Lottery " provides details of the main provider of the funding.
A few days since the above photos, below show the steel support for a buttress being encased with brick and a couple of courses of bricks.

At the end of June 2018 construction work on the wall is complete with cap stones installed and a hoggin path towards the sport centre.
By June 27th 2018 works on the wall and path was complete and a story in the Hastings & St Leonards Observer reported the details of the rebuild.
