Sedlescombe Mission, Chapel Hill United Reformed
In the 19th century Sedlescombe about seven miles from Hastings had a congregation of around 200 rising to 400 that were using an outhouse without heating or a door and reached by way of a muddy track. In 1878 a plot of land was purchased in order to build a mission church.
